Did you know that, according to leading bathroom showroom retailer, Tubs & Tiles, the basin is the first thing that people look at when considering a new bathroom suite? 

This year’s trend is for square basins and for those looking for the latest ‘hip’ styles,  Eugene Carthy, senior bathroom buyer at Tubs & Tiles recommends the Surety Lydra, Surety Olympiad or Wash suites, all stocked by them and featuring square basins in several sizes.

Eugene said “Square basins are, in fact,  rectangular in shape but for one reason or another, the ’square basin’ description has stuck. Over the years, I have found that the basin and tap combination is the critical deciding factor for customers.” Eugene also observed that when it comes to basins, it’s usually the bigger the better which attracts, but warned that people need to be careful.  “In a large showroom space, things like basins can appear smaller than they actually are and that’s why it’s vital to doublecheck the basin dimensions within your own space before buying.”
